There were no gardens on this tour except one with next to no flowers. Thy were redoing the rice fields so nothing to see there .we were NOT told to bring water or that a lunch break at a shack that sold sandwiches and drinks would not be until 2:30. I am a type 2 diabetic and would have brought a snack if I had known.paid $7.50 for tuna salad that was thick enough to be brick mortar. No chips or even a pickle on the side .Gift shop is over priced seats in tour bus were uncomfortable and we didn’t leave on time😡

Probably the last tolerable humidity of the Spring. Short trip from the Visitors Center. This is a 4 hour tour that could be longer. You really only get a chance to hit the high spots of this venue. Walk the gardens then a 45 minute tram ride and 35 minute house short free time to explore . Gives a great overview for those who would like to return and explore further . Tour does not include the Audubon Trail or the Slave village although you do see both. This place is a nature photographers dream. Guides are very informative and you learn a great deal of the history of plantation life and the Drayton family. For those who wanted a longer tour offered would be good as well. All in all an excellent tour.

We had a most enjoyable tour of the Plantation mansion and gardens. Alan our driver and tour guide was very knowledgeable about the history of Charleston and the area. He was very friendly and had a great sense of humour. We also took the city tour with him.
