This is the ideal way to start a visit to San Francisco as a first time visitor. It was a very comprehensive and detailed walk (and some ride). Dara was a very enthusiastic and informative guide who covered the history and background to San Francisco very well. Make sure you have good footwear as you will be walking a fair way. Highly recommended.

My husband and I took this walking tour on our first full day in SF. It was the perfect introduction and orientation to the city! Dara was our personal tour guide. She is a local with lots of experience guiding tours in SF as well as a couple of other large cities. The tour was arranged to minimize the number of large hills we would need to climb and to maximize the views and areas covered. Dara was friendly, knowledgable, and answered all of our questions. The description of the tour is very accurate, and we visited everything listed. We also found out where the locals go to eat and discovered some delightful public spaces hidden throughout the city. If you like walking, local history, and personalized experiences, I highly recommend this tour!
