Did this trip yesterday and think looking at the reviews we were just unlucky with the captain we got. Captain Jim went into great detail about how he wasn't paid by the company and relied on tips and at the end even advised us we should pay $10 per person tip. He also said that he was the best captain and all the others relied on him telling them where the manatees were. He struggled to find a manatee until the last 10 minutes ( we understood there was no guarantee) but he was stressed by this and didn't tell us about the area or the wildlife or mangrove eco system as a result. Given that our tour was 10am in the morning and not the end of the day he was also very unkempt with dirty clothing.

Captain Storm got us really close to a huge female and a smaller male manatee right in the marina. He was very knowledgeable and kept up a humorous dialogue during the whole tour. We also saw an alligator, which I was excited to spot, since we hadnā€™t seen many before. It was a great tour, and very enjoyable!
