What To Expect

Port of the Islands Marina

The 90 minute covered boat Tour departs from Port of the Islands Marina every 45 minutes daily 365 days per year.

Manatee Sightseeing & Wildlife Adventures

Experienced nature loving Coast Guard licensed captains to narrate the tour in a manner that resonates with children/adults of all ages. Manatees in the wild may be in the harbor area, the residential bays, or in the exciting mangrove forest. Manatees come to the boat over 90% of the time. Patrons enjoy matching birds in the trees to the provided Everglades bird Card. There is a max of 6 passengers per boat. Family groups of 7-42 will use multiple boats staying close.

We appreciated our time with Captain Storm. Request him if you go. He is fun, informative, and funny. We had lots of questions and he gave lots of thoughtful answers. Enjoy your time.

We had a wonderful boat tour with Captain John. He gave us a lot of information about the mangroves and the animals. Captain John has a very good sense of humour and gave us a few good laughs. We saw a few manatees and alligators too. The water is clean but a brown colour from the mangroves. We enjoyed the tour very much.

We went on a fabulous ride with Captain Stormy to see manatees. We not only saw manatee up lose but even got to see a mother and her calf. We also saw a huge alligator. Captain Stormy was hilarious and at the same time educational . He made it all very memorable . I'd highly recommend you ask for his tour. We came from Colorado pretty much to see manatee and dolphins. We weren't disappointed.
