What To Expect

Port of the Islands Marina

The 90 minute covered boat Tour departs from Port of the Islands Marina every 45 minutes daily 365 days per year.

Manatee Sightseeing & Wildlife Adventures

Experienced nature loving Coast Guard licensed captains to narrate the tour in a manner that resonates with children/adults of all ages. Manatees in the wild may be in the harbor area, the residential bays, or in the exciting mangrove forest. Manatees come to the boat over 90% of the time. Patrons enjoy matching birds in the trees to the provided Everglades bird Card. There is a max of 6 passengers per boat. Family groups of 7-42 will use multiple boats staying close.

… and about a half dozen Manatee sightings. Captain Storm was entertaining and knew the Manatee's very well. We had several sightings, learned a lot, and groaned at Captain Storm's corny jokes. All in all our grandchildren and their parents had a great time. We recommend it.

We come over to Naples from Ft Lauderdale quite frequently. This was a great break from the beach and a fun day trip. The trip was educational and informative. It was 1.5 hours, just the right amount of time. We booked the morning of, looking for something fun to do with kids. Facility was clean and staff was nice. Captain Storm was knowledgeable and humorous. He enjoys sharing the info and gets as excited to find the wildlife as we did! We saw many manatees, including a calf and mom. We also do birds, alligator, fish, and even a snake. Thank you, Captain Storm, we learned lot. Enjoyed the visit and will be back!

Captain Storm took us on an educational, fun and most importantly rewarding boat trip to see the manatees. He was a wealth of knowledge about these creatures and taught us how to spot them- not easy but all the more rewarding when we did. Which we did 😀. We also saw alligators and learnt about how they warm their blood plus other fun facts about the wildlife of the area. Captain Storm had a dry sense of homour which we loved. The boats used are eco friendly as they have an electric engine which he used when around the manatees. I would highly recommend this trip and Captain storm.
