Manatees/Sunset/Bioluminescence Tour

Overview
Experience everything the wildlife refuge has to offer with three distinct experiences packed into one three-hour tour! Launch your kayak in the daylight and surround yourself with Florida’s most-loved endangered species, West Indian Manatees! Sit back while the gentle giants roll, sniff, and nuzzle all around you. Dolphins are also active this time of day as they wrangle their dinner in the adjacent cove.

Next, head out to Bird Island, a federally protected rookery, to watch hundreds of birds soar in overhead. Ibis, herons, egrets, pelicans, cormorants, and roseate spoonbills and more all glide in their flocks to nest for the night. Be lulled into serenity by the gently rocking kayak as the sun descends for the night in the pinks, oranges, and reds of sunset.

Finally, the tour culminates in the season’s bioluminescent experience, whether it be summer bioluminescence, winter comb jelly bioluminescence, or a star-studded moonlit sky.

We had great time with our guide, Alex, on the 3-hour combo tour. We saw many manatees, dolphins, alligators, and birds before sunset. Alex led us to places to see Kennedy Space Center sites across the Indian River and Mosquito Lagoon and a great place to see the sunset. He told us a lot about the nature of the waterways and the history. Alex did a good job of preparing us for what to expect as we saw manatees and dolphins up close. The bioluminescent plankton was amazing after dark. The trip was the right length for us and well managed by Alex.

We had a wonderful experience from the start. Harrison greeted us right away and got us settled in for our exploration of the lagoon and canal. He made sure we were comfortable and knew exactly what to expect. I really appreciated the time he took to make me feel comfortable as a new kayaker. We saw manatees by the dozens, dolphins all around and a great variety of birds. Harrison had taken the time before our reservation to prepare for bird lovers just for us. That is an amazing personalized touch! The bioluminescence was above and beyond my expectations! It’s a sight to see which no words can describe! We’d give Harrison 6 stars if we could ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

We had an amazing time on the Mondo Combo 3-hour tour. Our guides were Alex, Diana, and Adrian were fabulous. They were knowledgeable and made sure everyone enjoyed their trip. The biolumensence is truly a must see when you're on the space coast.
