What To Expect

Key Largo

Mangrove Tunnel Kayak Adventure. Experience the waters off Key Largo as a local during this 3 hour tour in the mangroves off Key Largo. Kayak through crystal clear waters as we learn about the mangroves and their importance to the ecosystem of the Florida Keys. Learn about the birds, fish, turtles, and manatees that frequent these areas. For those that are interested snorkel through some of the tour as you experience the world under the mangroves as well. For those booking a 2 or more guests, we will automatically assign tandem (2 person) kayaks to those travelers. Travelers requesting single kayaks…please call the store at 395.451.3018 after booking to request single kayaks.

For a full refund, cancel at least 24 hours before the scheduled departure time.

We went out with Kayak Andy, and had a great time in the mangrove tunnels. While we were paddling, a storm front blew through fast and furious. Andy pulled us into a little cove and hopped out of the Kayak to show us an upside down jellyfish. We did have to paddle through a bit of rain, but it passed us as fast as it came through. Andy gave us some great information about the mangroves, and some fun side stories of experiences from past trips. All of the kayaks were tandem kayaks. Florida Bay Outfitters also gave us a 10% discount on merchandise in the shop, which we used to get my daughter's newest favorite sweater.

Michael our guide was Great! Although we only saw a few jelly fish the mangrove tunnels are incredibly beautiful. Nice was to spend a few active hours.
