What To Expect

Key Largo

Mangrove Tunnel Kayak Adventure. Experience the waters off Key Largo as a local during this 3 hour tour in the mangroves off Key Largo. Kayak through crystal clear waters as we learn about the mangroves and their importance to the ecosystem of the Florida Keys. Learn about the birds, fish, turtles, and manatees that frequent these areas. For those that are interested snorkel through some of the tour as you experience the world under the mangroves as well. For those booking a 2 or more guests, we will automatically assign tandem (2 person) kayaks to those travelers. Travelers requesting single kayaks…please call the store at 395.451.3018 after booking to request single kayaks.

For a full refund, cancel at least 24 hours before the scheduled departure time.

The driver was out making an equipment delivery, so we were about 45 mins late leaving for the 130 trip. This business was very apologetic for the delay, allowed some extra time out on the water and bought everyone on the trip a drink at the cool little bar next door once we got back. Guide was Lisa. She was chatty and knowledgeable about the area and the mangroves. Very nice experience. Be sure to wear sunscreen, take sunglasses and wear shoes that can get wet getting and out of the water. Nice, cold towel, fresh water to fill water bottles and snack provided after the trip. The kayaking is at john pennecamp state park, which is only a few minutes drive.

The cathedral tunnel, seeing two nurse sharks, and our guide Janet was amazing! She was so knowledgeable about the mangroves and sea life! This adventure is a must when in Key Largo.
