What To Expect

Key Largo

Mangrove Tunnel Kayak Adventure. Experience the waters off Key Largo as a local during this 3 hour tour in the mangroves off Key Largo. Kayak through crystal clear waters as we learn about the mangroves and their importance to the ecosystem of the Florida Keys. Learn about the birds, fish, turtles, and manatees that frequent these areas. For those that are interested snorkel through some of the tour as you experience the world under the mangroves as well. For those booking a 2 or more guests, we will automatically assign tandem (2 person) kayaks to those travelers. Travelers requesting single kayaks…please call the store at 395.451.3018 after booking to request single kayaks.

We had a really good time. A relaxing kayak trip through the mangrove trees. The host Kerri was fantastic, knowledgeable and boy she was enthusiastic about the trip and the environment. We were lucky to see a sting ray, a shark, lots of fish, crabs and held jellyfish. We also took the opportunity to take a swim - it was very warm. I really hope that global warming does not reduce these beautiful lands.and people look after these superb natural treasures. If you are in the area go and enjoy ( and buy a waterproof bag !)

If you are they type who wants to 'get out there in it" this is the trip for you. It is a pretty cool experience. Crazy to think the guide KNOWS where to go next, it all looks pretty much the same, but it is NOT. They will stop along the way for some swimming if you want, and to view the cauliflower looking jelly fish. The amount of birds in this area is unreal - I am a bird lover so I thoroughly enjoyed this trip! They bring plenty of water and snacks, too. This is a great memory of Florida!
