The Isle of Capri Paddlecraft Park requires a $10 Parking Pass per vehicle if you do not have a Collier County Beach Parking Sticker

What To Expect

Marco Island

We will be paddling into the Mangrove Tunnels of the Rookery Bay National Estuarine Research Reserve just North of Marco Island launching from the Isle of Capri Paddlecraft Park. The regions only biologist guides will help you find unique wildlife while teaching you about the ecology and history of this amazing place! Get on the water with the guides who have spent their lives studying this area and explore with a real local biologist!

After exploring the mangrove tunnels with the only biologist guides in Naples & Marco, visit our partners at the Rookery Bay Environmental Learning Center and enjoy FREE ADMISSION with the purchase of your tour ticket to explore their exhibits, aquariums, art gallery, theater, and hiking trails! Be sure to ask about becoming a member of the Friends of Rookery Bay to further support the Reserve, gain access to special programs, events, volunteer opportunities, and discounts on tours, rentals, and at the nature store!

Instructors very helpful to a family of first timers... They took the time to help us when behind and taught us how to maneuver through mangrove tunnels. We were Leary having never kayaked before. The tour was very enjoyable. I would definitely recommend it!

My girlfriend and I discovered Rising Tide Explorers while looking for things to do around Naples. My contact, Ryan, did a great job setting us up with a tandem kayak, self-guided tour. Everything from the initial call to the end of the adventure was awesome. Ryan explained the plan clearly and prepped us well on the day of the trip. He tailored a kayaking plan based on tides and his significant knowledge of the area. In addition to the laminated map of the trials, Rising Tide Explorers also created a Google map so you can rely on technology if you get turned around in the mangroves. We saw many interesting birds and animals during the 2 hour trip, including a pod of dolphins that swam by the kayak. I would highly recommend this to anyone looking for a great outdoor activity.

Perfect tour for kayakers of all levels. Water was flat and calm, and the mangrove tunnels were beautiful, easy to navigate, mini obstacle courses. Our guide, Matt was fun and friendly - very knowledgeable and passionate about his work, the wildlife and local culture. Keep up the great work, RT!
