The Isle of Capri Paddlecraft Park requires a $10 Parking Pass per vehicle if you do not have a Collier County Beach Parking Sticker

Children under 12 must ride in a tandem kayak with an adult

What To Expect

Marco Island

We will be paddling into the Mangrove Tunnels of the Rookery Bay National Estuarine Research Reserve just North of Marco Island launching from the Isle of Capri Paddlecraft Park. The regions only biologist guides will help you find unique wildlife while teaching you about the ecology and history of this amazing place! Get on the water with the guides who have spent their lives studying this area and explore with a real local biologist!

After exploring the mangrove tunnels with the only biologist guides in Naples & Marco, visit our partners at the Rookery Bay Environmental Learning Center and enjoy FREE ADMISSION with the purchase of your tour ticket to explore their exhibits, aquariums, art gallery, theater, and hiking trails! Be sure to ask about becoming a member of the Friends of Rookery Bay to further support the Reserve, gain access to special programs, events, volunteer opportunities, and discounts on tours, rentals, and at the nature store!

Our guide was very knowledgeable of the ecosystem. He was very instructional and made the learning fun. I would have liked to tour more of the mangroves, but I understand the importance of learning about the ecosystem as a whole, not just in the mangroves themselves.

Excellent guided kayak tour of a wildlife research preserve bay in SW Florida outside Naples. We were on our honeymoon and it was great fun for us as a couple. Forrest and Rickey were our guides and they were both really fun and knowledgeable. Both were local biology/ecology students so had a great background of the wildlife around. Our tour took us through the bay around the isle of Capri, through mangrove tunnels, and we were able to get out of the kayak to swim/cool off in the shallows. We even saw a manatee! Highly recommend their tour service, first class but very relaxing & fun morning out.

YES!! My wife and I were both born and raised in Naples and it is rare that we come across such an unknown treasure in our backyard. We recently took our two sons and daughter (ages 7, 9, and 10) on the mangrove tunnel, mudflat exploration. Our guides: Ryan, Matt and Bryce (22) made it a fantastic experience. They engaged not only the adults but also the kids with their vast knowledge of the wildlife, plants and history of the area. They showed a genuine love and respect for the delicate ecosystem and explained it's significance on both small and large scales. As a family, we now have a greater understanding of the complexity of the mangroves and how important it is that we are active stewards of this forest . It is so hard to find an activity that is exciting, educational, and safe that satisfies the interest needs of such a broad range of ages. Rising Tide Explorers exceeded all of our high-set expectations. THANK YOU!
