Nick gave us an excellent eco tour of the area. learned a lot about the habitats and environment. Also educated us on the red tide. Great for all ages. Easy paddling until the end to get back to the launch the wind had picked up and we were going against the tide but manageable.

This was my second tour with Rising Tide, and my familyā€™s first. We went out with Forest & Nick on a 3 hour tour of the mudflats & mangrove tunnels. Our kids are almost 13 and 15 years old. The tour was amazing! Rising Tide was clear about their sanitizing procedures, kept the group to 8 people (it was just our family & another family of 4 with teens) and everyone in the group was great about social distancing. It was such a great experience for our kids to be part of the beautiful ecosystem Rookery Bay & we all learned so much. Nick was great with my almost 13 year old, science/shell obsessed son, answered his endless questions & helped him find cool shells. Forest even made our 15 year old daughter laugh a few times! Something for everyone! Donā€™t miss this chance to take advantage of being outdoors & still safe during this crazy time!!

Our family went on this tour with 2 double kayaks with a parent and 4 year old in one and a parent and 8 year old in the other. Even though the kids were not much help with paddling we were easily able to complete the required paddling of this tour. Education about the mangrove ecosystem, its importance, and the associated plants and animals is the primary goal of this tour. This is a great way to see a little bit of the real coastal Florida. Sam and Renee were awesome guides, knowledgeable, and very personable. Every Florida school kid should have a chance to go on a tour like this.
