Mangroves and Manatees - Guided Kayak Eco Tour

Overview
Our tours are geared towards first time and new paddlers.  We go at your speed so you don't have to worry about going out and getting exhausted.  Grab a friend and come along for a unique adventure on the #1-rated Eco-Tour through the mangrove ecosystem. Choose your kayak - single or double - and glide in our shallow clear water over sponges, grass beds, and sandy patches. Looking down, you might see a small nurse shark, turtle, or stingray, or can observe dolphins and manatees. Above water, herons, pelicans, and ospreys settle on the mangroves and hunt for fish. While there are no guaranteed wildlife sightings, we always see something cool in this one-of-a-kind estuary ecosystem that starts right outside the back door of our shop.

This was our first time kayaking and it was an amazing experience. Our guide was great and took us on an excellent tour. We saw a family of manatees that swam right underneath our kayaks! The water was perfect and it was a great day to be out kayaking. Be prepared, you will get an upper body workout coming back in against the current LOL! Next time, we are going to try the paddle board. I highly recommend this adventure!

My friend is visiting from Canada and we were looking for something fun to do in the Keys. We decided to try some kayak there but had no idea where to go. We did some research and went to another place that had nice reviews. The "staff" (there was just one person there) was kind of rude and unhelpful. So we figured we better try something else. We read all the positive reviews that Paddle has and decided to give it a try. And we are so happy we did! The staff was super friendly and accommodating. My friend was worried about getting his phone wet but they were out of waterproof phone pouches at this time. The sweet lady that works there was so nice to let him use hers. We did the 2 hour kayak tour with Stephen. He was awesome. Very informative, fun and friendly. We felt very comfortable with him. He pointed out sea life everywhere and made sure we were having a good experience. The mangroves were amazing. We saw a lot of fish and vegetation. At the end Stephen took us to a little island that was just beautiful. He also took many pictures of us. I highly recommend this company. Thank you Stephen for such a great experience!

My daughter and I were looking for an adventure in the Keys on Thursday, January 3rd. We stopped in at the Keys Information Center and booked a kayak trip with Paddle! The keys. We arrived at the business shortly before we were to go out at 10:30. There were places to change in the store as well a well appointed store where I purchased a waterproof phone pouch because I forgot mine at home. Greg the owner even put my phone in it for me. Our guide, Stephen otherwise known as the "Manatee whisperer" suggested that we try paddle boarding instead. He was a great instructor and we felt very comfortable as we set off. Not only did we paddle up and down the creek we went into the estuaries. We saw a total of 4 Manatee, one with a calf. Stephen was very informative and even though we are long time FL residents we learned some new things. He cared that we were having a good experience and even took many photos, which was a good thing as mine did not work out. Thank you Paddlethefloridakeys and Stephen for one of my favorite days spent outdoors this year.
