We where in NYC for 3 nights from Friday October 5th and left on Tuesday the 9th. Pretty much Newbies so thought a guided tour would be a good introduction. So many walking tours .. how do you choose?! Well the high rating on trip advisor was the 1st indicator. BUT .. there is reasons for the high rating. They got back to me answering many questions B4 we even signed up for the tour. And unlike some other tours, they where not "cut and paste" didn't even read my questions type answers. That was an indication that they really cared. We picked the Sunday Little Italy - China Town and Queens tour. There was only 2 of us and they put a group together of 6 (including us) so we could get the group rate. Andrew was gr8! Very informative and easy going guy. The China town van ride to Queens was quite the experience! Didn't realize how diverse Queens was! Gotta try the beef jerky he bought for us in China town. ya never had such gr8 tasting beef jerky like this! The pastery place in Queens is also delish! Overall .. a gr8 experience ... learned a lot ... saw a lot ... went over the alloted time but no extra charge ... and they play our favourite station through the whole tour WIFM ! Ask Andrew what that station plays. :) Sheldon From Toronto Canada

On a Streetwise tour you'll get more than one glimpse of New Yorkers' everyday life past, present and future. Having experienced the lower East Side together with Andrew, we just had to walk the Meatpacking district and Greenwich Village with him too. Although it was raining heavily that day, we truly enjoyed our trip on the Highline, meeting the owner of the Music Inn (also providing inspiring comics on and for Obamanation), ... PS: The Pod Hotel offers free walking tours to it's guests twice a week.

I joined the Streetwise tour through the East Village as part of the “Explore New York, Explore the World” program by NYU. The tour was truly amazing, despite pouring rain all the time. I have never enjoyed a city tour this much. Instead of just walking around with a little flag, tour guide Dan told us the story of the East Village. We tried a famous $1 pizza slice at St. Mark’s Place, visited an Italian pastry shop that exists for over four generations and so much more. This is about as good as a guided tour gets; highly recommended.
