Brooklyn heights and Dumbo tours . It was an amazing experience to view Manhattan from the other side of the river, thanks to our guide Greg from street wise , who knew the history of every building and street , including the story behind construction of the Manhattan and Brooklyn Bridges . I would do this all over again

My sister and I were visiting New York Oct 1-4 2018 and stayed at POD51. During our stay we joined Streetwise walking tours every morning. Lower East Side & Chinatown led by Sonya Upper West Side and Central Park with Dan and Meatpacking & Greenwich Village ( Highline, Chelsea Market ) with Patrick. All of the walks brought new aspects of the city alive. Sonya, Dan and Patrick had their special interests that added to the information they shared with us and they patiently answered our various questions. I will definately do more walks with them next time in New York. Comfortable shoes are recommended, the walks we did ended in a park just in time for lunch. Plenty of chances to take nice photos. I thoroughly recommend taking a walk or five with them!

Walking tour was enjoyable. It is really a nice way to appreciate New York with a guide who knows the area so well. Greg met us at the hotel and took us by metro to Brooklyn and Dumbo. Very convenient for a solo traveler.
