Manta Magic - Night Manta Ray Snorkel At Manta Village, Kona, Hawaii

Overview

Avoid the crowds of the other "cattle boats" in Kona, and enjoy a small-group manta ray snorkeling experience with a maximum of 12 passengers.

This tour departs from Keahou Harbor in South Kona and enjoys a short 5-minute boat ride to our snorkeling site, Manta Village.

Your Captain and snorkel guide will educate you on Kona's famous manta rays and will discuss our safe and humane approach to engaging with the gentle giants.

After entering the water, you'll hold onto our lightboard, with your feet propped up by floatation devices, as the manta rays perform a graceful ballet beneath you. The manta rays filter feed on plankton that naturally gathers at the surface just before sunset, then accumulates underneath our lights. This is an opportunity to enjoy an evening on the water and watch in amazement as the manta rays glide around and dance for you.

This is a night-time ocean tour, Hunter saw my husband had trouble viewing the Manta Ray due to his goggle had leakage issue, Hunter quickly notice this struggling situation of my husband, he swam immediately to my husband and help him out. This show Hunter is a very attentive and responsive tour guide. I give 5 stars especially to Hunter, you are very professional in what you are doing. Thank you Hunter for took care of my hubby at that moment.

Great Boat Crew. Safe and knowledgeable. We saw 9 GIANTS. They hung out with us for 30 minutes. Some were literally brushing against us as they swam by. Absolutely amazing experience!

This was a great experience as many of the reviews indicate. I was a little disappointed that they did not offer any water or beverages (as advertised - Bottled water & nonalcoholic drinks). Other than that, we had a great show of these magnificent animals.

Aloha - thank you for your feedback. We have refreshments available for any guests who request them, both on the boat and at our check-in station. The boat ride to and from the manta ray site is less than 5 minutes, so there isn't much time to consume beverages on the tour, and most guests do not request water or beverages. If you'd like a beverage, please let us know and we'd be happy to provide one. Mahalo.
