Manta Mania - Manta Ray Night Snorkel - Small-Group Experience In Kona, Hawaii

Overview
We carry a maximum of 6 passengers so we can offer a more intimate manta ray snorkel experience than the larger "cattle boats" in Kona.

In addition to delivering a more private experience, our small group size allows for a better manta ray show. Your swim guide will tow your party to the most active areas of the snorkel site, as you hold onto a light board and enjoy the show. Larger groups on bigger boats are often required to stay next to the boat, and can't chase the manta ray action as we do. By locating the most active areas of the snorkel site, you'll have a higher chance of seeing more manta rays.

If you book all 6 seats on any trip, you will have your own private charter.

Don't miss this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to snorkel with manta rays, in a private small-group experience. Get ready to make memories that will last a lifetime!

The mantas were amazing. Jacob and the captain were great and tried to make sure everyone was comfortable. Would totally do this again.

Small group manta ray night snorkeling. Amazing. Saw at least 6 manta rays. Went on 10pm ride out which kind of worried me, but once you were in the water viewing one of the most incredible things ever kind of forgot about being out in the water at night. Jacob and Jeff were accommodating. My husband forgot his phone on the boat and even though we were the last run of the night, he looked for it, called us back so we could get the phone. Thanks :)

The captain was kind of a jerkā€¦very transactional and made us feel like we were a bother. For such an expensive outing for only 90 mins, I would suggest he get a different attitude or find another way to make a living. The manta rays are amazing, though.

Aloha - thank you for your feedback. We apologize that you felt like the captain was "kind of a jerk." We spoke with our staff about your tour and nobody was aware of any form of conflict, or any issues with any guests, so we're unsure what happened or how we can do better in the future. The captain of your tour is one of the best in Kona, and has never received any complaints about being a jerk. Our captains are responsible for the safety of our guests, and they sometimes need to be firm about rules and regulations to keep everyone safe. Once in a while, this may come off as making guests feel like they are a bother, but that is not the case. We just need to make sure everyone is safe, and we need to communicate clearly and directly.
