Overview

We carry a maximum of 6 passengers so we can offer a more intimate manta ray snorkel experience than the larger "cattle boats" in Kona.

In addition to delivering a more private experience, our small group size allows for a better manta ray show. Your swim guide will tow your party to the most active areas of the snorkel site, as you hold onto a light board and enjoy the show. Larger groups on bigger boats are often required to stay next to the boat, and can't chase the manta ray action as we do. By locating the most active areas of the snorkel site, you'll have a higher chance of seeing more manta rays.

If you book all 6 seats on any trip, you will have your own private charter.

The crew was great, but we were only in the water with the mantas for 20 minutes. My last trip doing this we were in for an hour. I understand they have deadlines, but it should be indicated somewhere that it will be very short.

Aloha - thank you for your feedback, and for the kind words about our crew. We are typically in the water for 30-40 minutes with the manta rays, which is about as long as most people are comfortable spending in the water without getting too cold. There are rare instances in which we spend less time in the water due to safety concerns. Our primary goal is to keep our guests and our staff safe, and we apologize for any inconvenience caused by putting satety first.

We had a fantastic time! Eric was wonderful and taught us so much. Definitely a once in a lifetime experience. And thank you to our boat captain for making me brave enough to get in, even though I was slightly scared at first. We would definitely go again and again!

Great trip, Hunter was awesome, with a great personality. The boat only has six passengers which made it a very personal trip with the family.
