Overview

We carry a maximum of 6 passengers so we can offer a more intimate manta ray snorkel experience than the larger "cattle boats" in Kona.

In addition to delivering a more private experience, our small group size allows for a better manta ray show. Your swim guide will tow your party to the most active areas of the snorkel site, as you hold onto a light board and enjoy the show. Larger groups on bigger boats are often required to stay next to the boat, and can't chase the manta ray action as we do. By locating the most active areas of the snorkel site, you'll have a higher chance of seeing more manta rays.

If you book all 6 seats on any trip, you will have your own private charter.

This activity was not on the “bucket list” for me and my wife. But after doing it, it went to the to the top of our list. It will be memorable for the rest of our lives. We feel lucky for the rare opportunity to witness a ballet show by some of the most graceful creatures in this world. We saw several Manta Rays swim around us while we were in the water. Some kept swimming so close that they even rubbed against us. We went with a small group of 6 which made it more personal and got a lot of attention from our friendly and knowledgeable guide, Eric. The boat was ably manned by Captain Pena who made sure we got to the spot and back to the harbor safely. I highly recommend this activity with this particular outfit especially if you are too comfortable swimming in open waters.

The crew was very nice and knowledgeable about the animals. Also, our group really enjoyed how they have a limit of 6 people on their tours so you don’t feel crowded in the water. I recommend this experience and specific company to anyone visiting the Big Island. 10/10 recommend. Once in a lifetime experience.
