Manta Mania - Manta Ray Night Snorkel - Small-Group Experience In Kona, Hawaii

Overview
We carry a maximum of 6 passengers so we can offer a more intimate manta ray snorkel experience than the larger "cattle boats" in Kona.

In addition to delivering a more private experience, our small group size allows for a better manta ray show. Your swim guide will tow your party to the most active areas of the snorkel site, as you hold onto a light board and enjoy the show. Larger groups on bigger boats are often required to stay next to the boat, and can't chase the manta ray action as we do. By locating the most active areas of the snorkel site, you'll have a higher chance of seeing more manta rays.

If you book all 6 seats on any trip, you will have your own private charter.

Don't miss this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to snorkel with manta rays, in a private small-group experience. Get ready to make memories that will last a lifetime!

Great nightā€” we saw 6 manta rays at one time!!! Up to 12 going back and forth between boats. I felt safe, enjoyed the manta facts Eric shared, and the stars above were glorious on the boat rides in and back.

This was the most amazing experience ever! I had no idea what I was getting into until I got in the water. The Mantas would come within inches of your face and body in their gentle flight through the plankton. It was educational, and an incredible encounter. I would do it again in a minute! The crew were knowledgeable and comforting getting in the water at night and educating us on these amazing creatures.

We booked months in advance because of good reviews on trip advisor. However, we were told on the same day, our much-anticipated trip was cancelled due to maintenance issue. They did give us a few names but scrambling at the last minute is very difficult. We called many companies and almost all were sold out. Luckily, we found one that was able to accommodate us. However, their timing affected our dinner reservations which had to be cancelled. Luckily the restaurant did not charge us for last day cancellation which I found out is in their policy. It took us several hours to make multiple last minute phone calls and this time could have been better spent on the beach with the family.

Aloha and thank you for your review. It's very rare, but all boats are subject to unplanned maintenance when something breaks. Once we knew there was an issue and it was unsafe to run the tour, we contacted you and recommended other companies that may be able to help. While we understand the frustration and inconvenience on your side, there is nothing else we can do in a situation like this. It's unfortunate when this happens, and we apologize for the inconvenience. The maintenance issue is now fixed and the boat is running as expected. Mahalo.
