Overview

We carry a maximum of 6 passengers so we can offer a more intimate manta ray snorkel experience than the larger "cattle boats" in Kona.

In addition to delivering a more private experience, our small group size allows for a better manta ray show. Your swim guide will tow your party to the most active areas of the snorkel site, as you hold onto a light board and enjoy the show. Larger groups on bigger boats are often required to stay next to the boat, and can't chase the manta ray action as we do. By locating the most active areas of the snorkel site, you'll have a higher chance of seeing more manta rays.

If you book all 6 seats on any trip, you will have your own private charter.

Captain Jeff and Jake were awesome. Loved the small group atmosphere. They were very knowledgeable and friendly. Would definitely do again!

It really is incredible! Eric and Lawrence were our guide and captain. They were so awesome! I think having some experience snorkeling (at least practice in a pool before hand) will make your Manta experience way better. Snorkeling at night with small waves splashing into your snorkel breathing hole could be a unnerving if don’t know what you’re doing. But if you are comfortable in the water and snorkeling, this experience is amazing!

Took the tour last night with Eric as our guide. Our experience was spectacular. I did not know what to expect seeing the manta rays but they did not disappoint. Before we got in the water Eric warned us that seeing 2-3 manta rays was a good sighting and not less than 2 minutes in the water we were surrounded by 5-6 manta rays. Eric was so knowledgeable about the animals and kept informing us about different facts about the manta ray… which made the experience of staring into the dark abliss of the ocean less terrifying for me. Thank you so much Eric for all your knowledge and kindness during this trip! Great experience.
