Overview
We carry a maximum of 6 passengers so we can offer a more intimate manta ray snorkel experience than the larger "cattle boats" in Kona.

In addition to delivering a more private experience, our small group size allows for a better manta ray show. Your swim guide will tow your party to the most active areas of the snorkel site, as you hold onto a light board and enjoy the show. Larger groups on bigger boats are often required to stay next to the boat, and can't chase the manta ray action as we do. By locating the most active areas of the snorkel site, you'll have a higher chance of seeing more manta rays.

If you book all 6 seats on any trip, you will have your own private charter.

The experience was life changing. These are such gentle animals and our guide, Eric is very passionate about the manta rays he showed us. He knows them by name and tells you about their personality. He provided a lot of information about the manta rays and made sure we knew how to treat and respect them. We had a private group of 4, all of us shared the same desire to experience being close to these amazing creatures. It still seems so surreal. Our captain had a fantastic boat that handled the waves smoothly and he cared about his passengers. This is the only outfit I will go with

The tour was cancelled, this is not the problem. But we never got our money back. Cristelle called us, what was nice and promised to do the refund in the next 3 days. Now 3 weeks are gone. Please Vivator or tour guide, do the refund.

We canceled a tour due to dangerous ocean conditions and provided a full refund to all customers. If you have still not received your refund from viator, please reach out to us directly at 808-987-1584 and we will help to make sure Viator refunds you. If you have received your refund, which we believe is the case, please delete this inaccurate review that's misleading other customers.

We booked the tour a few months ago. On the day of the 5:30 tour, a cancellation email was sent at 11:08, because "our boat needs maintenance". Text arrived about 1 hour later for the same. I'd expect maintenance is scheduled. Even if it's an emergency, it would probably happen the night before and we should have been notified earlier to have a better chance to find an alternative Email and text contain a few tour operators we can contact. It's holiday season so no luck from any of them. It would have been nice if we know this earlier or they could help arrange with another company.

When something breaks on a boat, while rare, unplanned maintenance is required. In this case, we ran a morning tour and noticed a mechanical issue after returning to the harbor at 11am. We immediately reached out to you and informed you of the issue. It is not realistic to expect that "maintenance is scheduled" in all cases, and you seem to be accusing us of informing you late about planned maintenance, which did not happen. While we agree that it would be nice if we could have informed you earlier, that would literally be impossible because we informed you as soon as we knew there was an issue. This entire negative review is based on an inaccurate and uneducated assumption about how boat maintenance works, and it is completely unfair to damage a small local business in this way. Please delete this review to prevent misinforming other customers and damaging our small business. Mahalo.
