This is a MUST. The crew and captian are awesome. Mika and Juda (not sure if I have his name right) where so knowledgeable and caring and the Captain. They explained everything, how too's, do's and don'ts. We had a very successful viewing. I did get motion sick but I would do it again because it was worth it. I felt that the Captain and Crew were caring as there were a few of us that didn't feel well and they made sure we were all taken care of while making sure everyone else was not inconvenienced. They did have hot coco for those that wished to have so on the trip back to the pier. Next time I will take something to prevent motion sickness, I seen that there is bracelets in the store at the pier where we all met before the "Manta Ray Night Snorkel". I strongly recommend doing this because there are only few places in the world to see them in the wild like this. It is very easy to find and if you are staying in Kona/Wiakola area it is a MUST! And use "Bite Me" because they are the BEST, kind and knowledgable.

Waters were rough and murky. Crew had a hard time locating the underwater buoys to “anchor” the boat - but “she” persevered and made it happen. I wish I remembered all of the crew names. I think we had Mika and Lee, and another female - that located the buoy. Can’t recall the captain’s name, but he was less involved in making it a special experience than the other three. Pretty crowded boat - around 24 or 25, I think. But, good people and crew, so we all made it work. Like I said, kind of rough water. But, seeing the Manta Rays feed was amazing and worth it. Not a lot of them, but seeing one or two up close is sufficient. They “roll” when feeding so you get a great look at their back and front. Would absolutely go out with this crew again.

The tour guides for the trip were great. They were very warm and welcoming. On the boat ride they spotted spinner dolphins so they stopped the boat so we could see them swimming and playing around and underneath the boat. Unfortunately, the manta rays never showed up so all we got to see at the snorkeling site was a school a fish so it was a little disappointing. Hopefully they'll show up next time.

Aloha, Thank you for your kind words about our crew. That's a bummer the mantas did not show....We hope you took advantage of our company policy and came back out again with us for free. The spinner dolphins are so much fun to watch, I am happy to hear the boat stopped so you could enjoy them. Once again thank you for your review, we hope you enjoyed your vacation on the Big Island.
