The pictures never accurately represent the experience. Laurie and Naomi were fantastic tour guides. They were friendly, knowledgeable, and very understanding of everyone's capabilities. What an amazing experience!

This was a perfect day trip from Anchorage. While we saw many glaciers during our trip to Alaska, this excursion allowed us to get close and personal with Matanuska Glacier. You get to walk through the ecosystem surrounding the base of a glacier and it is absolutely fascinating to see how the environment evolves and changes over time. We learned a lot and enjoyed our time here. The tour takes you to a great lodge where you can purchase what you want for lunch with a view of the glacier in the background. Highly recommend this trip.

It's a must do if you're in the area. Our tour guide Mike was great laid back and knowledgeable. I would have liked to have known more about how it all worked,with our guide..Meaning we tipped our glacier guide and Mike tipped her also..so I wasn't sure if he tipped her for us as part of our tour package or was it separate?..I'm thinking it was for the group because it was 100 bucks..Then we went to lunch and picked up his tab not realizing his company would have bought his lunch...So just understanding how it works would have been nice.
