The hike to the glacier our guide Chris is informative and good. Our bus driver from Anchorage Chris is excellent also .

I am so glad we took this tour. Our guide, Alyssa, shared so much with us about the area. She is also a great driver. The Matanuska glacier was pretty far and it was nice to be able to take in the sights instead of driving it ourselves. When we got to the glacier we had Maggie as our guide. It was so fun to hike around the glacier and we were able to take really fun pictures. We liked it so much that we decided to come back this coming March to do the Matanuska glacier in winter.

Although a little hesitant at first (tour booked by husband), this was an AMAZING day. Everything from hotel pickup, information about region on the ride to the glacier from knowledgeable tour owner - about 2 hours in comfortable bus - the hike with exceptional guide, lunch at nice restaurant… everything was organized and pleasant. I learned so much about the glacier from guide (Nate) whose enthusiasm was contagious. Well with the money for this knowledge and memories that will last forever.
