Overview

All riders must be 36 inches or taller to participate/ride submarine.

Dive 100 feet below the surface and experience Maui’s marine treasures off beautiful Lahaina with Atlantis Submarines Maui. A special added bonus of this tour experience is seeing the spectacular West Maui Mountains while riding our shuttle boat to the Maui dive site.

Stingray, yellow tang, eel, parrotfish, bluefin trevally, and an array of other marine species are seen regularly at the dive site. See firsthand how the Carthaginian, a sunken 19th century whaling brig, has combined with Mother Nature to create a fascinating artificial reef to attract and support marine life of all sizes, shapes and colors.

Our air-conditioned, comfortable submarine interiors offer large viewing ports, which allow guests to relax and enjoy the amazing wonders of the deep. Passengers must be capable of ascending and descending a near vertical ladder on their own to board the submarine
Total tour time is approximately 1 hour 50 minutes. Actual underwater tour time is 45 minutes
Children must be 36 inches or taller to ride the submarine
Infants are not permitted on the submarine.

This was one of our favorite experiencThis was one of our favorite experiences while staying in Maui! Suggestion: On your phone, switch to "Pro Mode" and adjust the white balance to make the underwater colors look more natural. Otherwise your automatic photo settings will just turn everything blue. ISO 100-800 (or auto) works well and shutter speed can be anywhere between 1/32 to 1/160 (or auto) depending on your camera and whether you are shooting photo or video. Anyway, to set expectations: You'll be in a long, large tube filled with people. None of us felt claustrophobic at all in there since it's nicely ventilated/air-conditioned and you do feel like you have a good amount of space. The views were a little foggy but stunning. Especially the shipwreck. We also saw some sleeping sharks laying on the seabed, which was amazing. Very skilled captain was able to get us very close to the sharks and the shipwreck. Also saw lots of coral reef! Would definitely recommend this to anyone that has ever wanted to explore the bottom of the sea! es while staying in Maui!
