Fabulous! We had a bit of a bumpy start when our tour bus broke down but replacement vans came quickly! To be on top of the mountain at sunset was exceptional .. and then the incredible stargazing tour - we saw 80% of the Milky Way galaxy, Saturn 🪐 and Jupiter. It was incredible. We could see the lava flow from Kilauea also. Highly recommend! * fair warning there are Not a lot of opportunities to use the restrooms.

This was the highlight of our trip to the big island. We did see that people had driven rental jeeps up there, but the road is dark and rough. We also saw that someone had crashed their rental jeep at the green sand beach earlier in the week, so it’s best to take a tour to the summit and not risk it. Addison explained all about the observatories and pointed out constellations. He also tuned his telescope on Saturn and Jupiter, which we were all able to view clearly. This tour is well organized and perfectly timed. Sunset and the Milky Way were breathtaking. This tour is worth the money.
