One of the best places to see the sunset and stargazing and it's also the highest mountain on earth. Comfortable 4X4 passenger van as transportation.Jackets and gloves provided to keep you warm. Get close to the stars with our professional Celestron telescope and get a nice photo with our DSLR camera.

Great sunset and amazing star gazing. The tour guide was great. The sunset was fantastic at the summit. Quite chilly but definitely well worth it. The tour guide was knowledgeable and friendly. Star gazing was absolutely awesome. Used the telescope and one of the guides used a laser pointer to show all the constellations and stars which was cool. Could see the Milky Way and the volcano glowing red off in the distance as well was amazing.

What a great experience! Derek picked us up and brought us to the access road, giving us more information about the island of Hawai’i than we could use during our trip. Addison got us to the summit with more history about Mauna Kea and the observatories. As a person with a degree in astronomy, this trip was something I’d been looking forward to for a long time. Coming back to the Visitor Information Center worked well for those who were having some altitude issues. Addison’s star / constellation tutorial was awesome! My husband said the only time he had such a well done explanation was at a planetarium. An amazing trip with wonderful guides!

Gabe was great! The tour was amazing. Sunset, Stars, knowledgeable guides. Bumpy road to the top but not awful. Definitely would recommend to all. We would do it again!
