One of the best places to see the sunset and stargazing and it's also the highest mountain on earth. Comfortable 4X4 passenger van as transportation.Jackets and gloves provided to keep you warm. Experienced tour guide to talk about our history and show you our amazing night with a laser pointer. Get close to the stars with our professional Celestron telescope and get a nice photo with our DSLR camera.

Amazing trip. The guide was very enthusiastic and we enjoyed the whole trip tremendously. The star gazing and pictures are the highlight of the whole trip!

Great adventure. The star show was icing on cake. So many stars and expertly guided to all the constellations. Took my mum and we both enjoyed the whole adventure.

We LOVED this experience and will never forget it. We were picked up in HIlo by Addison, who was our driver and tour guide. He was terrific. Personable and knowledgeable. Mauna Kea is simply stunning and awe-inspiring. And to watch the sun set from the summit was something I will never forget. The tour provides warm parkas and gloves, with hot drinks and snacks after, but I sugest wearing warm clothes as it was windy and in the low 40's when we were there. The star-gazing part was nice, but the real reason you do this tour is the summit and that was what this is all about. Highly recommend!!!
