One of the best places to see the sunset and stargazing and it's also the highest mountain on earth. Comfortable 4X4 passenger van as transportation.Jackets and gloves provided to keep you warm. Experienced tour guide to talk about our history and show you our amazing night with a laser pointer. Get close to the stars with our professional Celestron telescope and get a nice photo with our DSLR camera.

Wonderful tour with a very knowledgeable and friendly tour guide. Great views, once in a lifetime experience seeing the stars and constellations. Nice snacks and pictures time.

From start to finish the trip was an experience that you do not want to miss. Pickup (by Rij) was on time and tour bus was clean and comfortable. The tour is planned out well including a stop at the Mauna Kea Information center (a small souvenir shop as well) for an acclimatization period (30-45 minutes). Take advantage of the "facilities" before heading to the summit. The drive to the summit is slow and but not as bumpy as expected. Once you arrive you are given a warm parka and gloves. It was windy and cold (hovering around freezing) for our visit. The views, sunset, moon and stars were absolutely beautiful. There was welcomed hot chocolate and loads of snacks. Take plenty of photos but make sure that you take time to look and wonder with your own eyes. Well done! Thanks, Rij for getting us there and back safely as well as all of the knowledge and information that you shared with us. Highly recommended.
