I opted for the tour with the Sun Studio add-on (which I recommend). The tour guide for the bus segment was absolutely hilarious, I was in stitches of laughter for half of the tour as were the rest of the tourists. Canā€™t remember his name unfortunately. His local knowledge was second to none, contrary to his self-deprecating humour! Memphis has lots of stories to tell and the guide does an epic job at conveying all of these. The main tour is about 2 hours which includes the Peabody Ducks (this has to be seen to be believed) then a 45 min stop at Beale Street to do whatever you want. Itā€™s at this point you can choose to get back on the bus to go for the last part of the tour or (if youā€™ve bought the upgrade) get a free ride to Sun Studio where youā€™ll seamlessly go on a tour there; your ticket will be waiting for you on arrival. One point to note: aim to get a seat on the left hand side of the bus (driverā€™s side) as the majority of the attractions the guide will point out are viewable out this side.

My wife and I were visiting Memphis for the first time and decided to start our visit with a tour of Memphis. It was a great experience. Sam was a great ambassador for the city. He was very friendly and knowledgeable about the city and its history. Well worth the money.

We learned so much about Memphis that we didnā€™t know. What an interesting city! Sam, our guide was the best! So knowledgeable, fun and accommodating. Sam also took us to the Sun Studio so we could tour it (where Elvis first recorded). Thatā€™s a Must See for any Elvis fan.
