We purchased the tour with the Sun Studios upgrade. It even said it on our paperwork. However, when we got on the bus, they said that it did not stop at Sun Studios. That Sun Studios was a completely different tour. After driving all the way out to Graceland and back the driver did let us off at Sun Studios. We had to Uber back to the hotel. The Sun Studio Tour was fantastic. Just be careful when you book. Make sure you're getting exactly what you paid for.

We like to take a tour to get a feel for a new city so this worked well for us. Got picked from our hotel and taken to a central point before setting off. Willy our guide was highly amusing and we got to stop at a few places to have a brief nose about. Good service and good value.

Lucky us . . . there was only one other couple on our Memphis City tour so we had Sam all to ourselves. He did a wonderful job showing us his city and offering fact and tidbits about various sights as we passed them. I feel as if all the important places were covered during our tour, and we very much enjoyed ending with the Sun Studio experience. We were picked up at our hotel and then picked up another couple at the Information Center. Our first stop was at the Peabody Hotel to see the ducks. We did want to see this and realized it would take a chunk out of the tour. Anyone doing this tour should be advised of the time involved in having this included, and if you aren't interested in this experience, don't do this tour. Since it is a very famous tradition in Memphis at the Peabody, we wanted to witness it. Sam got us there early enough for us to find a spot to take pictures, but that does mean you are standing around and waiting for awhile. However, if you are a photographer and want to get shots, you need to be there early enough which we were. We wished there had been more time after to do a little gift shopping, but that is not part of the tour experience so you can return on your own if you like. The other stop was at St. Jude's and the Danny Thomas Memorial Garden. I was glad to have seen this, but, frankly, would have preferred a bit more time at Lansky's and the Peabody than the time we spent here. That's not a criticism but just a personal preference. We were looking for an overview of the highlights of the City so this was a good tour overall, and Sam truly made it exceptionally enjoyable and informative. Thank you, Sam!!
