Mendenhall Glacier Ice Adventure Tour

Overview
Explore Mendenhall Glacier on this exclusive adventure tour into the Alaskan Wilderness. Your expert guides will lead you on a journey across Mendenhall Lake where you will paddle together with a small group past icebergs, giant waterfalls, and wildlife. On your way to the ice, you will be surrounded by breathtaking scenery of mountain peaks nestled in the Tongass National Forest. Upon landing the canoe at a remote beach site, your guides will safely lead you on an interpretive hike around the rocky surfaces located directly in front of the glacier. Here you will discover the magnificent ice features up close. Views of specific glacial features like Ice Caves and Moulins cannot be guaranteed due to the nature of the constantly moving ice. Loved our guides, Casey and Joey. Had even more benefits with Abby joining from the office. Small group which let us enjoy each other’s travels and experience. We were the only ones on the Glacier too. I overcame my fear of ice....a bit more😊 Highly recommend this tour

We had the most amazing day on the glacier! One of my most favorite days on the ice- it was truly remarkable. The early morning lake fog, the sheet ice and the sunrise were are epic. I am so happy you two had fun, it was a pleasure to spend the morning with you. Abby

I was lucky enough to go on a day where ice caves were an option - and the weather was perfect. Ryan and Abby both had an abundance of awful jokes to keep us going on the paddle, and then they were super-fun (but also safe and professional) on the glacier hike. They got us to the ice caves and assessed that they were safe, then served as our personal photographers while we were in there. Seriously, it was the highlight of my Alaskan trip - definitely go!

Our guides are responsible for many things, including taking great photos for our guests! Even though Ryan's jokes are pretty bad, it is really hard not to laugh at them. We are so happy to be a highlight of your Alaska vacation. Thank you.

It's one of those experiences that will be remembered for a lifetime. Partly, because it is immersive...no sitting back and watching others (my criteria). Want to give a shout-out to Ben and Joey our guides...very professional and personable. We got to know them as they got to know us. Their knowledge of the glacier(s) is vast...definitely worth the time, effort, and experience.

We do our best to give our guests a true Alaska experience, which includes working for your reward. Walking on a glacier is definitely something to check off your "Bucket List" and we are thankful we helped you cross it off. Thank you.
