This was an amazing tour. I highly recommend it. Our guides Ben and Spencer were awesome. They were very fun and very informative. The paddle out was definitely a work out but so worth it. The time on the glacier was spectacular. We even got to go into an ice cave in a crevasse. Truly amazing.

Haha, we agree, there should be a 20 star rating system versus the 5. Paddling to a glacier can definitely be a great workout, a true Alaskan adventure with serious bragging rights. We’re glad you had a great time, and got to see the most amazing sights. Hope to see you again on your next Alaska trip.

Truly a highlight of our Alaska Adventure was with this tour group. Our guides, Ben & Grant were awesome. We were met close to our cruise ship in Juneau and then transported by van to Mendenhall Lake where our 14 person canoe and guides were waiting. Once out-fitted for the canoe part of the adventure and given our snacks for the day, we stepped into the canoe and off we went. The ride is about 2.5 miles each way. Along the way we saw eagles and Nugget Falls. After coming around a bend, Mendenhall Glacier came into full view. Our guides were very knowledgable about the area and the recession of the glacier. After landing at the foot of the glacier, we put on crampons and hiked part way up. The crampons were amazing--at first it's hard to imagine that they will allow you to practically walk vertically up the glacier but noone slipped or fell. We aren't particularly fit but didn't find the rowing or hike strenuous at all. Maybe we were too distracted by Ben & Grant's jokes.

Wow, highlight of your Alaska trip. We are honored. Thank you for the extremely detailed review! Glad to hear the trip wasn’t strenuous for you! The guides try to make it as easy as possible for such an immersive glacier experience. We’ll be sure to tell Ben and Grant you enjoyed the tour and jokes!

Spencer and Joey were extremely professional, kept us safe, and awesome tour guides. Canoeing to the glacier and hiking on it was definitely worth it. I'd recommend this outfit and these guys. Thanks!
