One of the best tours we’ve been on. Canoeing was well worth it; especially as we turned the corner and saw the Mendenhall Glacier. Walking the glacier was unreal and our guides were top notch. Quick shout out to our guides Abby and Grant. They were great and made the trip so much fun. Highly recommend this tour when in Juneau!!!

The first reveal of the glacier on the lake is one of our favorite experiences on tour! It is incredible not only to get an unobstructed view of the ice but then to be able to walk directly on it as well! Thank you for choosing Liquid Alaska for your Juneau adventure!

We had Abby and Glacier Grant as our tour guides and they were very friendly, funny, and knowledgeable. I rated our tour 3 stars because I felt we were given misleading information. Our group was given the option to walk inside an ice cave and the majority voted for that. We were told we would have less time to walk on the glacier since we were going to do the ice cave. Groups of two were accompanied into the cave with one guide. My family and I went in towards the end. We barely touched feet into the ice cave. We squatted less than 5 ft into the cave and barely saw the ice blue cave about 10 ft further down. One couple went in further than us and had more time in the cave than us. After the last group came out, we were told we would be heading back to the canoe. It was a disappointment for us. My vision of walking into ice caves is being surrounded by blue ice. Also, we were disappointed because we did not get to walk on the glacier. The reason we booked the ice adventure was because we wanted to walk on the glacier. I felt the tour guides should have done a better job informing us about the ice caves and what to expect as well as updating us on time so we could have gotten the opportunity to walk on the ice. We should have booked the cheaper tour that did not include the ice adventure and had about the same experience.

Our tour was fantastic from the scenery to the guides Abby and Joey. They both were fun and engaging with an abundance of knowledge about the glacier and area. The glacier itself was impressive, don’t miss out on the opportunity and even though some people may complain about having to paddle across the lake, it really wasn’t bad and if your group is putting in a good effort it makes it fairly easy. An FYI for all you cruise people; they will make sure you’re back in plenty of time, so no worries!
