Mendenhall Glacier Ice Adventure Tour

Overview
Explore Mendenhall Glacier on this exclusive adventure tour into the Alaskan Wilderness. Your expert guides will lead you on a journey across Mendenhall Lake where you will paddle together with a small group past icebergs, giant waterfalls, and wildlife. On your way to the ice, you will be surrounded by breathtaking scenery of mountain peaks nestled in the Tongass National Forest. Upon landing the canoe at a remote beach site, your guides will safely lead you on an interpretive hike around the rocky surfaces located directly in front of the glacier. Here you will discover the magnificent ice features up close. Views of specific glacial features like Ice Caves and Moulins cannot be guaranteed due to the nature of the constantly moving ice. Fantastic Tour!!! Ryan and Joey were very informative and helpful and overall great guides. The canoeing wasn't too bad, and well worth the paddling once you reach the glacier. The glacier itself was amazing to see and experience! We all had a wonderful time and would recommend this tour to anyone wanting to experience a high quality well run excursion.

We lucked out on the weather! 70 degrees. Sunny. We were able to see all of our beautiful surroundings on the lake. Ranger Ryan and Glacier Grant 🙃 were our tour guides. They were informative, fun, and made sure everyone stayed safe. We could not have asked for a better encounter paddling on the water and viewing the incredible glacier. Two people in our group of 6 were quite nervous about this excursion. Ryan and Grant provided a calming presence. And, with their knowledge, a positive experience!!

Super lucky on weather! Juneau is located in the worlds largest temperate rainforest so it is often raining. If it does rain, we provide everything you need to stay dry: rain pants, rain jacket, rain boots along with paddling gloves and a 35 liter dry bag. We are so happy Ranger Ryan and Glacier Grant made your group feel safe and comfortable. Thank you!

the tour was great. 1 hour canoeing to the glacier and 44 mins back because we would like to check Juneau other attractions. The company provided us everything including a cup of hoc choc which tasted great after a tiring and cold day. Unfortunately we couldn't spot any ice cave. Not their fault, tho.
