Mendenhall Glacier Ice Adventure Tour

Overview
Explore Mendenhall Glacier on this exclusive adventure tour into the Alaskan Wilderness. Your expert guides will lead you on a journey across Mendenhall Lake where you will paddle together with a small group past icebergs, giant waterfalls, and wildlife. On your way to the ice, you will be surrounded by breathtaking scenery of mountain peaks nestled in the Tongass National Forest. Upon landing the canoe at a remote beach site, your guides will safely lead you on an interpretive hike around the rocky surfaces located directly in front of the glacier. Here you will discover the magnificent ice features up close. Views of specific glacial features like Ice Caves and Moulins cannot be guaranteed due to the nature of the constantly moving ice. This experience was absolutely amazing. It exceeded our expectations. It started off by being warmly greeted by Casey. My Mom was nervous about the experience but he quickly put her at ease. Our guides were Spencer & Abbey. They were phenomenal. Knowledgeable, helpful, kind and made us feel like we were the most important people to them. They made our experience memorable. The sights were incredibly breath taking. Thank you Liquid Alaska Tours for making our Mother-Daughter vacation an experience of a lifetime.

This was simply the best excursion ever. I was very excited going into this not fully knowing what to expect but knowing hiking a glacier would be incredible. This exceeded my expectations. The guides - Ben and Grant - were amazing! They were very knowledgeable and entertaining which made the experience that much more rewarding. I'm by no means athletic or particularly adventuresome, but I felt safe and comfortable the entire way. Ben and Grant also provided very helpful insight to just how quickly the glacier has receded and is changing rapidly. If this is on your bucket list, sign up fast before it's too far gone. I can't imagine any better way to experience Mendenhall Glacier while you are in Juneau. Amazing once-in-a-lifetime experience!

Ryan and Spencer were very knowledgeable, professional and really fun tour guides. They were full of facts about the lake and glacier and also shared many funny jokes on the canoe to and from the glacier. This really helped us forget we were paddling 2.5 miles one way. Being able to hike on the glacier is a once in a lifetime experience, well worth every penny. Will recommend this to everyone I know travelling to Juneau. Karen (MA)
