Your expert guides will lead you on a journey across Mendenhall Lake where you will paddle together with a small group past icebergs, giant waterfalls, and wildlife. On your way to the ice, you will be surrounded by breathtaking scenery of mountain peaks nestled in the Tongass National Forest. Upon landing the canoe at a remote beach site, your guides will safely lead you on an interpretive hike around the rocky surfaces located directly in front of the glacier. The views and experience was completely incredible. Our guides Ben and Spencer were informative, fun and made a great trip even better! We laughed and had fun while taking in the sites. I can't think of a better way to experience the Mendenhall Glacier. We were lucky and got to explore inside an ice cave and hike up to a crevice with water flowing into that was so blue that you would think you're eyes were viewing it with a filter. The trip was so EXTRA!

This tour was definitely on my Alaska bucket list. We chose the canoe and glacier walk which gave me the opportunity to walk on Mendenhall Glacier. Our tour guides Ryan and Joey were knowledgeable and provided great instruction. The canoe ride to the glacier we received a great deal of information about the glacier and the lake we canoed. The real excitement was the trek on the glacier. So glad we were not the 99% that view the glacier but part of the 1% that walked on the glacier.

My husband and I both HIGHLY recommend this experience to anyone who will listen! When planning our trip I spent hours searching for a tour of the Mendenhall Glacier that combined paddling out to it and trekking on the glacier itself. Trust me--there aren't many out there. This unique excursion was exactly what we were looking for!! There's no other way to fully appreciate the beauty and size of the Mendenhall Glacier if you ask us! Very few tours are able to take you onto the glacier each day and that was the best part of the experience for us!! Definitely a MUST do when visiting the area!! Apart from the uniqueness of this tour, the team at Liquid Alaska Tours was absolutely outstanding to work with!! Booking online was simple and easy. Then when we were accidentally delayed getting off our cruise ship, their manager Abby went above and beyond to help us meet back up with our group. And our tour guides Ryan and Casey were helpful, knowledgeable, and personable from beginning to end! They made the whole experience unforgettable! Like I said, we would recommend this tour and LIquid Alaska Tours in general to anyone and everyone who would listen!!
