Your expert guides will lead you on a journey across Mendenhall Lake where you will paddle together with a small group past icebergs, giant waterfalls, and wildlife. Upon landing the canoe at a remote beach site, your guides will safely lead you on an interpretive hike around the rocky surfaces located directly in front of the glacier. Here you will discover the magnificent ice features up close. Views of specific glacial features like Ice Caves and Moulins cannot be guaranteed due to the nature of the constantly moving ice. Where do I begin.... Firstly, our tour guides were the best. Matt and Alli were very knowledgeable, fun and our safety was their first priority. Reading the "poor" and "Average" reviews leaves me confused as to how people don't understand this glacier is ever changing. No one can guarantee ice caves and to leave a poor review because nature didn't give you want you expected is just silly. I highly doubt Ice Caves were guaranteed and to experience this, then even think about accepting a refund..... you should be ashamed of yourself. Though long and laborious, the 2.5 mile paddle to and from the glacier is spectacular. The view is breathtaking. It is so humbling to walk on something so old and so massive. Its so sad to see how far it has receded in just a few years and how fast it recedes every day. We were blessed with one of the few clear sky days this area receives per year. I can assure you, no one expected a clear day in September. This was an experience I will forget no time soon. I will absolutely return to do this again.

Thank You. We are very proud to be able to show off such a spectacular piece of nature to our guests daily. Nature is completely unpredictable and the glacier is at a constant state of change, so we unfortunately cannot guarantee any specific features. We are pleased to say our guides are the best at showing off the features that are safe and accessible on that day. Thank you for your kind words and we would love to have you back. One thing we will guarantee is that the glacier will definitely not look the same!

Hi, I am a retired teacher from Florida.I would just like to say Thanks Liquid Alaska Tours(LAT) for an AMAZING experience. It started with Micah checking in with me via telephone while I was still in Florida, allowing me to ask all the questions needed to make this such a memorable adventure. Casey and Andy capped it off by providing in the most professional manner, guidance, a wealth of information, assistance, and refreshing levity in the rain. Their disposition was so sunny at times I forgot about the rain :-)! This really was a trip of a lifetime. Thanks to you all, I will NEVER forget it. Peace Now

Our family of 4 adults arrived in Juneau via the Norwegian Bliss. At every stop, we planned offshore excursions and this experience was by far the best. Liquid Alaska is an amazing company to work with and we had wonderful service from extremely experienced staff during booking, transport, and the tour. The visitors center and hiking from the Mendenhall Glacier Park doesn't compare to the experience of this up-close guided tour. Matt and Alli oversaw our experience and we joined two other adults (all of us in our 40s to 50s) for the canoe paddle and hike. We felt incredibly safe due to their EMT training and intimate knowledge of the ever-changing terrain. In addition, their knowledge of the glacier, history, geology, and overall area was second to none. The experience left us speechless and we feel honored to have set foot on the rapidly diminishing glaciers of Alaska.

Thank you! We love this review. The Mendenhall Glacier Visitor Center is quite beautiful and warm, but it is filled with people and is quite far away from the glacier. It does not even compare to the adventure that we offer on our tour. Not only do you actually get to walk on the ice, but our groups offer a 7:1 guest guide ratio, so they are very small and intimate, so you can actually experience the remoteness of the Alaskan wilderness. We are so happy that you were pleased with the knowledge and experience of our guides and that you had a wonderful time. Please come back again and see how much the glacier is continually changing.
