Your expert guides will lead you on a journey across Mendenhall Lake where you will paddle together with a small group past icebergs, giant waterfalls, and wildlife. On your way to the ice, you will be surrounded by breathtaking scenery of mountain peaks nestled in the Tongass National Forest. Upon landing the canoe at a remote beach site, your guides will safely lead you on an interpretive hike around the rocky surfaces located directly in front of the glacier. We were going to be in Juneau for the day while stopping in port for our Alaskan Cruise. We wanted to make sure we did something memorable and exciting. This tour exceeded our expectations. Our guides Casey and Ryan were so knowledgeable, funny, and just overall very chill to be around. Our group was smaller than a typical tour because a group of 7 had canceled the day of the tour which worked out great in my opinion. Pictures of our tour just doesn't even come close to capturing the amazing sites that were seen during our time on the lake as well as on the glacier. It was such a tranquil area to be in and Casey and Ryan were very aware of our safety at all times. We found a small ice cave that we were able to quickly walk through and got to try some fresh water coming down the glacier as well. I would highly recommend everyone do this tour if they are looking for something out of the ordinary to do. This was definitely a MAJOR highlight of our week long cruise

Would definitely recommend this excursion. You can’t beat the views or the rewarding feeling of canoeing/hiking to reach those views. Our guides were Mo and Ryan. They were friendly, funny, and informative. They knew their stuff and also made sure we were safe. It is about 3-4 miles of canoeing and then a mile or two of light hiking. You don’t have to be in great shape to do it, but if you have knee or shoulder injuries, it may not be for you. However, if you are looking to get outside, get some exercise, and get some fresh air, it’s the perfect amount of physical exertion. If you want to see a glacier (and you definitely should see a glacier while you are in Alaska) I would recommend this tour! There’s no way to replicate the perspective from the water looking up at the glacier.

This experience was amazing! I'm so glad we chose this excursion with Liquid Adventure for the Mendenhall Glacier Adventure. I was worried that it would be too strenuous and it wasn't at all. I never felt uncomfortable or unsafe on the canoe or glacier hike. The gear they provide is top notch! We stayed very dry with the boots, pants and nice jacket they provide. The water proof bag they provided was very appreciated and the snacks. This was a once in a lifetime type of experience! Go for it! I would do again in a heartbeat!
