We had an amazing time with Matt and Mo (tour guides) on our canoe adventure to the Mendenhall Glacier! We took a short bus ride from the cruise port to Lake Mendenhall. They provided head to toe gear for the tour. We paddled in a canoe with about 14 other couples for about an hour across Mendenhall Lake until we reached the Glacier. Matt and Mo were very informative during the adventure. Once we reached the Glacier, they provided us with clampons for our shoes to walk on the glacier. We weren't able to visit ice caves as they had already melted. It was an amazing site to see. Thoroughly enjoyed the experience! I would highly recommend this tour!

This was really an amazing tour! Starting with a canoe paddle across Mendenhall lake, with a closer view of the glacier then anyone at the visitors center. Next you attach your crampons and actually hike up onto the glacier itself. It was breathtaking and a sight that I have never experienced or seen before. Words or even pictures really cannot describe its beauty. Unfortunately the ice caves from last season had melted and no new ones had formed yet, so we were unable to visit any caves. Though we still had a wonderful time. Liquid Alaska really has you covered, they provide you with waterproof pants, jackets, boots, helmets, crampons, snacks, water, and even a dry bag. Tour guides Alli and Matt were excellent very knowledgeable! I would recommend this tour to anyone who is capable, the canoe paddle is a bit tough and you do have to walk on uneven grounds, but at the end of the day it is so worth it! I am very happy that I chose this excursion for my trip to Juneau.

One of the best tours I’ve been anywhere around the world. Awe inspiring. Majestic. You better be in good shape as you must paddle over an hour out to the glacier. Remember you also have to make it back. The blue colored glaciers we’re crazy good strap on your crampons and make your way around the glacier. Awesome vistas and crevasses. We spent an afternoon with a great bunch of people and all of us had a terrific time! A must. Worth every penny !!
