Explore Mendenhall Glacier on this exclusive adventure tour into the Alaskan Wilderness. Your expert guides will lead you on a journey across Mendenhall Lake where you will paddle together with a small group past icebergs, giant waterfalls, and wildlife. On your way to the ice, you will be surrounded by breathtaking scenery of mountain peaks nestled in the Tongass National Forest. Upon landing the canoe at a remote beach site, your guides will safely lead you on an interpretive hike around the rocky surfaces located directly in front of the glacier. Here you will discover the magnificent ice features up close. Views of specific glacial features like Ice Caves and Moulins cannot be guaranteed due to the nature of the constantly moving ice. What To Expect

Mendenhall Glacier

Guests will spend 60-90 minutes hiking around the rocky moraine and exploring near the Mendenhall Glacier.

The entire Mendenhall Glacier ICE Adventure Tour operates in the Tongass National Forest, the largest National Forest in the United States.

This was an amazing tour!! From canoeing across Mendenhall Lake to hiking right next to the Glacier this tour was full of amazing views and experiences! I was fortunate to have a smaller tour group and our tour guides, Paul and Lena, did a great job catering the tour to our group in an entertaining and informative way. Would highly recommend going on this tour to Mendenhall Glacier!

Matt and Kelby are the hope of the universe. It is astonishing how compassionate, caring, and intelligent these two beautiful individuals are. Are they human? They ensured our safety, engaged with all of us, talked one-on-one about life, the Glacier, Juneau, and somehow negotiated with God to have the best scenic trip to home base. I hope that wherever their future takes them, they will continue to pierce the heavens. They’ve certainly have with us.
