Mendenhall Glacier Lake Canoe Tour

Overview
Experience the beauty of the Alaskan wilderness on this 3.5-4 hour adventure to the Mendenhall Glacier. This adventure starts off at the cruise ship docks as an expert guide will transfer the guaranteed, small group on a narrated 30 minute journey to the West Glacier boat launch in the Tongass National Forest. Guests gear up in top quality waterproof gear and after a quick paddle lesson, will launch the canoe onto the Mendenhall Lake to start the journey. Surrounded by steep cliffs filled with Arctic terns, mountain goats, porcupines, and other wildlife; enjoy the serenity of this adventure deep into Alaska. Feel the cool brisk air coming off the glacier as the guide safely navigates the canoe to the best viewpoints of the blue crevasses and seracs on the toe of the Mendenhall Glacier. Be one of the few to step away from the crowds and get face to face with glacier. This Tour is canoeing only and DOES NOT INCLUDE hiking on a glacier.

This canoe tour was beyond breathtaking! Kevin is such a knowledgeable and funny guide for sure, but his genuine love and appreciation for the beauty and nature of Alaska was felt by us all. He kindly encouraged us to "take pictures with our eyes" when we stopped to admire the true amazement of glacier and waterfall. I'm so glad we did that. I'll never forget what I learned, what I saw and how I felt. This excursion is a must and I highly recommend it. Thank you again Kevin for sharing your knowledge and passion for Alaska...we took it with us!!

Well organized, safe tour. Got super close to the glacier and waterfall. Guide Kelsie was fun and knowledgeable (except for the bad jokesšŸ˜‰). It does take some physical effort to get to the glacier but worth it!

Kevin was a great guide. Explained what we were seeing and then let us take in the beauty of the glacier and waterfall. It rained the whole trip. I didnā€™t realize that it was so rainy in August. Thanks Kevin
