Mendenhall Glacier Lake Canoe Tour

Overview
Experience the beauty of the Alaskan wilderness on this 3.5-4 hour adventure to the Mendenhall Glacier. This adventure starts off at the cruise ship docks as an expert guide will transfer the guaranteed, small group on a narrated 30 minute journey to the West Glacier boat launch in the Tongass National Forest. Guests gear up in top quality waterproof gear and after a quick paddle lesson, will launch the canoe onto the Mendenhall Lake to start the journey. Surrounded by steep cliffs filled with Arctic terns, mountain goats, porcupines, and other wildlife; enjoy the serenity of this adventure deep into Alaska. Feel the cool brisk air coming off the glacier as the guide safely navigates the canoe to the best viewpoints of the blue crevasses and seracs on the toe of the Mendenhall Glacier. Be one of the few to step away from the crowds and get face to face with glacier. This Tour is canoeing only and DOES NOT INCLUDE hiking on a glacier.

Kevin was the best guide ever! So glad we decided to hop on this tour at the last minute. He even showed us where Morgan Freemanā€™s summer home was, that was pretty cool. Highly recommend this to anyone

Bryce couldn't have been a better guided even if he tried. I hope him and Mercury have a great rest of their season! ( Also hi Christy, we know your reading!!) Wanda, phototed below, really enjoyed her trip. The tour involved paddling out to the Mendenhall glacier which took about 40 minutes each way with short breaks for pictures in-between. A stop for snacks and glacier ice eating also added to the tour. Couldn't recommend this trip enough, great last day in Alaska!!

The canoe trip was amazing! Mendenhall Glacier is absolutely beautiful and getting to see it up close from the canoe is an unrivaled experience. Our guide Bryce was extremely knowledgeable, enthusiastic, and made the trip a blast! (Hi Christy!) There were several paddling breaks which allowed for resting arms, taking photos, and even picking up ice out of the lake. I would definitely recommend this tour-youā€™ve got to see the glacier while you can.
