We had a wonderful day (by Juneau standards) with a light drizzle. The day started off meeting Casey at the cruise terminal where a shuttle brought us to a parking lot where the rest of the group joined and we got fitted for our gear (raincoat/pants/gloves/rainboots, helmet, life vest, a dry bag with snacks and a bottle of water). We took a canoe out to Mendenhall Glacier and it wasn't a hard row out to the glacier. There, we helped hoist the canoe out of the water, got fitted with microspikes, and then started walking on the glacier! We got to see beautiful crevasses and try some glacial ice. Felt safe the entire time. It wasn't difficult at all and we had a great time! Thanks Ryan, Andrew, and Casey!
