Specially designed for guests coming on cruise ships! This is a 3 hour Tour. We meet at the downtown cruise ship dock. Enjoy the 30 minute narrated tour, past downtown Juneau out to the Mendenhall Glacier Recreation Area. Explore the visitor center, trails and photo opportunities for 2 hours. Then your guide will be ready to take you back to the downtown dock area with great ideas for the rest of your visit to Juneau.

Not worth.. they simply give you ride in a bus for 20 mins away and drop you and pick up. Really bad cheating.

We are so sorry to hear you didn't enjoy your tour. We have invested a lot in our trolleys and in training our tour guides. It is the only secure way to get from the cruise ship dock to the Mendenhall visitor Center 30 mins each way unless you book through the cruise lines.

The short hike to the water fall was lovely however crowded. The misleading part is that you are given two hours to hike which does not leave you time to hike to the actual glacier. Our driver was very nice as well as the employees at the start but to pay $85 dollars for what is basically a bus ride to the visitor center is ridiculous. I asked if we would be able to hike on the glacier and was told yes, not so.

Sorry this wasn't what you hoped for! We have invested a lot into our trolleys and our tour guide training. This is the only reliable way to get from the cruise ship dock, 30 mins out to the park and 30 mins back, unless you book through your cruise line. What concerns me is who told you that you could touch the glacier? The only way to do that is via a helicopter tour. There are hiking trails all over the park, so it sounds like a misunderstanding.

There are no words to describe the view of this magnificent site. The sun came out by the time we arrived to the glacier. The walking path to the glacier is another beautiful walk. George shared a lot about Juneau during the drive.
