Overview

Specially designed for guests coming on cruise ships! This is a 3 hour Tour. We meet at the downtown cruise ship dock. Enjoy the 30 minute narrated tour, past downtown Juneau out to the Mendenhall Glacier Recreation Area. Explore the visitor center, trails and photo opportunities for 2 hours. Then your guide will be ready to take you back to the downtown dock area with great ideas for the rest of your visit to Juneau.

We ended up having to hire taxis back to the boat. We didn't quite understand that we would be dropped off and the trolley would return to the docks empty and we could not return until we had been there the full 3 hours. That was simply too long for our group. There wasn't much of a "tour" at all.

I’m glad I got to see Mendenhall Glacier 50 years ago when I came through on the Alaska Ferry System. It’s amazing how far the glacier has receded.
