Overview

In this ocean Mermaid Swimming Lesson, you will have the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to transform into a mermaid and explore the beautiful, underwater world of Maui's most scenic coastline! A professional mermaid instructor will give you a private, one-on-one swimming lesson in a mermaid tail of your choice, as well as teach you tips & tricks to help you improve your mermaid technique. All lessons take place in the calm, shallow, and protected waters of Makena Bay in South Maui. This cove offers extraordinary coastal views of Haleakala, Molokini, Pu'u O'lai, and the neighboring islands!

Child tail sizes: 6, 8, and 10.
Adult tail sizes: XS, S, M, L, XL

Child monofin sizes 1-4 (Jr 9 -13 with provided neoprene socks).
Adult monofin sizes: Men’s US 6 – 11.5 / Women’s: US 4.5 - 10.

Must be ages 6+. *(Note it says 'Adult' while choosing number of participants. This includes ages 6-99).

I have been wanting to be a mermaid for years, and I am so happy that I was referred to by a friend to Maui Mermaid School! The swim lesson takes place in the morning. I am not a very good swimmer, but Aqua made me feel safe and very comfortable in the water all while wearing a mermaid tail. I was able to choose from 4 different colors for the mermaid tail, and she gets your measurements before the lesson so you will have a tail that fits perfectly. Your wallet and phone go in a dry bag and we paddled out on the paddle board for about 5-10 minutes, and that’s where she set anchor. She gave my friend and I mermaid swim tips and took great videos and beautiful pictures of us. She also brought snorkel equipment if you wanted to use that. In addition, we booked a mermaid photoshoot at sunset, and the pictures Aqua took were absolutely beautiful! My friends and family had no idea that they too could be mermaids or mermen! My friends and I had such a great and special experience with Aqua, who was sweet, accommodating, and professional. She is quick to respond via email, text, or phone call. My Family and friends all did this together. Wearing the tails and rolling around in the waves and on the sand. It was playful and fun and brought lots of laughter and joy to us all. This is the catch..Aqua the mermaid queen really is a Mermaid. The whole experience is out of a fairy tail. Highly recomended!

Mermaid was not an activity on the top of my bucket list. But the amount of joy my daughter experienced while putting on her mermaid tail is beyond words. My daughter Wife and I put on the tails and our guide Aqua posed us for a fun photoshoot. My wife has never looked so radiant. Aqua was so fun, encouraging, and engaged that this will be THE experience my daughter will remember above all else about our trip to Maui. She also had a great sense of humor when my friend and I decided to be Rasta Mermaids. So much fun, I couldn’t recommend this more. Next time we will also do some paddle boarding with her.
