Aaron was an awesome guide. We arrived at Mesa Verde without knowing tickets were required to see the cliff dwellings and they were long ago sold out, so we booked this tour and it saved the entire trip. We loved it.

It has been two years of no dwelling tours at Cliff Palace and Balcony House and it has been two years of the guides still making a great tour of the park. Thank you for the review!

Unfortunately our family was quite disappointed. Ranger walks were not available and when we read the tour description we thought we would also be getting the opportunity to do similar walks and hear the same in depth stories. But although our guide was friendly, he only seemed to have read some books about the place and even sought out rangers to answer our questions. So although we learned a few things it definitely was not worth the money and could have easily done this on our own. For the high price, we expected at more. Also we were very lucky we packed a lunch because the other group in the tour packed nothing and from 10-3pm they had nothing to eat. Snacks that were provided (which we had to ask for) was only 1 bag of chips and no food is available in the park. For people who want to be driven around the park it is an OK tour. But if you can read the signs and info from the national park then I wouldn't waste my money. Hopefully they also work on some proper training for the guides.

I am sorry to hear this was your experience Corinne. The park can definitely be visited on ones own and we have made every effort to be clear that the Cliff Palace and Balcony House tours have not been restarted since the fall of 2019. Our guides are passionate, experienced people who take pride in their in depth knowledge of the park. Mostly 5 star TripAdvisor reviews as well as Google and Facebook make that point. Nonetheless, I don't dispute your experience and encourage you and any of our future guests to speak with me or a manager when you have a less than 5 star experience so that we can make it right! Thank you.

Chris and Karen were awesome. Chris knew his history and the added knowledge from his hiking, rafting and climbing experience, and Karen filled in with her experiences in different areas around. Perfect combo! Provided water and snacks, restaurant info and other things to do in the area. Theyā€™re both great with the kids and helping them to understand and learn.
