Wow! What a wonderful way to spend the afternoon in Atlanta!!! I would recommend this to ANYONE visiting and/or to locals who want to experience an amazing walking/tasting tour of Midtown and see how the area has changed over the years. I worked in Midtown years ago and cannot get over how much the area has improved. John does a great job with the history of Atlanta and showcases some of the most amazing food in the Midtown area. Not only do you get wonderful food, drink and service at each of the restaurants you visit, but John has a plethora of information regarding activities, attractions, additional restaurants to visit, etc. The food was so unique at each venue and the paired drink was perfect!!! Definitely a "must do" in Atlanta! Great for solo travelers, couples, as well as a group of friends....Thanks John for bringing back some great memories and adding some wonderful new ones!

Wow! What a wonderful review! Thank you, Holly! It was a beautiful Atlanta afternoon of tasting...and sipping!!...and laughing out loud! What a trip down memory lane it was for you! For me, I loved how you were sharing parts of your life with your daughter as you strolled through my neighborhood...pointing here...pointing there...both of you with huge grins!! "Definitely a must do!" Yep! I would agree! Almost 80% of my guests have NEVER been on a Food Tour so everything is new...and everyone is having a blast!! Who doesn't like an afternoon of food, booze, and fun!! And, of course, let's not forget the entertaining history and local stories that are a large part of my idea of entertainment! You live close enough to grab a bunch of friends and share your fun with them...even if you do your own Tour! Free parking! My illustrated map! Tell your own stories! Go get 'em!! My best! John

We are "locals" (live 30 miles outside Atlanta) and were given this tour as a Christmas present. Everything was just great. John was very accommodating in scheduling the tour, with great communication before, during and after the tour. It was a warm day but the amount of walking, talking, eating and drinking were well balanced. After four hours, we were full and sent on our way with goodies for tomorrow. We are seniors but were not overly tired at the end. John is a long time resident of the midtown area and really knows his stuff. Lots of interesting info on the restaurants as well as history and current events. As for the food, it was all wonderful. We went to places we probably would never find on our own. I won't spoil anyone's surprise by saying where we went and what we had. I will say I had probably one of the best desert dishes I've ever had! The drinks provided were well matched to the food and perfect for the warm day. We are hoping John comes up with a Version 2 so that we can find more places. Thanks to John (and my kids who gave us the tour) for a wonderful day.

Thanks, H., for the great review! I'm not sure who "BolivarQ" is but do know that there is a story there!! Lots of good tips for TA readers as "locals" often don't know about how much fun...and how much you can learn...on a Food Tour right in their own city. Then there is the "gift" of a Food Tour! You and your wife are the same as Jeri and I when it comes to buying a gift for. We are flat out hard to buy for!! But what a terrific gift! Food and fun! Then there was "one of the best dessert dishes I have ever had!" Attention TA readers: That's not even the last stop on the Tour!! I always smile when the waitstaff brings out the to-go boxes...and then takes them all back as everyone eats every last bite!! My best to you and your "sweet" J.!! John

John does a fantastic job of setting the right atmosphere. He really got to know each person while we got to know about the area and the places we were eating. I was almost surprised about how quickly the time went by. 10/10 would food tour again

K. Thanks for the terrific write up as you now are part of my incredible TA history. My 250th review! Yahoo!! And with you being local, you certainly could take my Tour again. Grab a bunch of your friends and just wander through my Midtown neighborhood eating, drinking, and making up stories! They probably won't pay you (!) but you'd still have a blast!! A final note: When going through the photos of your Tour, I kept grinning at your t-shirt...so I went ahead and ordered one online!! I guess I want to grow up and be like you!! My best! John
